I got me a new place to live!!! So in two days I've gone from being homeless to having two homes! Well until I give the keys to the other one back anyway...
I decided I really wasn't happy with not being able to have people round so I looked for somewhere else and found an amazing house! It's huge and has a garden :) So much better then the other place, more expensive but still cheap compared to England and so worth the extra money. Sharing with two other girls called Myriam and Cath, they both seem really nice. Myriam speaks hardly any english so it's great practise for my french, not finding it too difficult so far which is good. Everyone speaks so fast though!
Feeling much happier and settled now, so glad I've finally met some people! Going back to Brussels tomorrow ready for the welcome day on monday. Looking forward to being a tourist and exploring the sights!

Woohoo I found somewhere to live! That's a big relief, looking forward to settling in now. I'm living with 3 students, although there's only one girl there at the moment. Haven't met her yet but apparently she speaks german and is studying french and english so she sounds interesting! The flat is on 'th floor of a really nice building so there's a great view out the windows over the town. It's much nicer than any student accomodation I've seen in England and a lot cheaper too, I'm sure there must be some catch! Apparently you're not allowed visitors, but I'm sure I'll manage to find some way of sneaking people in!
I went to the shool I'm going to be working in today and met one of the teachers. It's actually a higher education college which I didn't realise, so some of my pupils will be older than me! It seems a really nice place though, and all the staff I met were really nice and friendly. They're going on a trip to England in February which I get to go on too, and I have to plan something for everyone to do in derbyshire for a day!! So that should be fun!

So here it is, my Belgium blog! I'll try to post reguarly to keep everyone updated. Really loving it so far, Verviers is a really nice town. Getting by with my awful french so far which is good, just need to find somewhere to live still! Have one possibility so it's looking hopeful. Off to find the school I'm working at this afternoon, and meet one of the teachers.
